Toi Ohomai is one of the largest tertiary education providers in the Bay of Plenty and South Waikato regions, with campuses in Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Tokoroa and Whakatane. In 2016, Waiariki Bay of Plenty Polytechnic was officially renamed and became Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology after the amalgamation of Bay of Plenty Polytechnic and Waiariki Institute of Technology.
Toi Ohomai has more than 12,000 students with more than 150 study options covering specialities in business, engineering, creative arts, forestry, hospitality, health and nursing, marine science, road transport, tourism, trades and more.
